Microscope Gallery Showing 4-Channel Video "Border Control" at the Armory Show

Article by Adam Aslan

Microscope Gallery will be showing the four-channel video installation "Border Control" at the 2020 Armory Show. The gallery has shown work from Ahwesh in the past at their gallery located at 1329 Willoughby Ave in Bushwick.

"Border Control" employs four flat screens to examine US Border Policy. The video was shot at the border of San Diego and Tijuana. Of particular note is the face that the art piece acts as a witness to man climbing over an existing wall at the border to enter the US, making this piece front line journalism as well as art.

Microscope Gallery will be at Booth P5. The Armory show runs from March 5-8, 2020 at Pier 94, 711 12th Avenue, New York.
